I was out jogging the today and this is what I came up with:
The Runner: by Jack .H. Longman
The man running who is he?
Why does he spend all his time just running?
Is he running towards something,
or is he running away from something?
From sunrise to sunset he keeps going,
he continues all through the night.
Is he running from his past his fears,
or is he running towards his future home?
Then again maybe he's running for fun.
running for freedom keeping his head clear.
So many things bottled up inside,
maybe he's running to keep them hidden.
Standing still and everything shall spill out,
he keeps on running just to be alone.
Is he running scared or just running free,
running and running he's always running.
You can try to keep up but it won't work,
he's been runnign since the start of his life.
Running without emotion all he knows,
everything and nothing yet he still runs.
He's destination is eternity,
spending forever just trying to get there.
He knows that he will end up alone,
his nature compels it so he still runs.
Running and running and running again,
refusing to stop refusing to yield.
With this man comes so many questions,
but he never offers any answers.
What is the man's name do I hear you ask?
How should I know he keeps on running.
Maybe one day he will stop and reveal,
but until then he keeps on running.
Please leave a comment about what you thought of this.
