The Magi-Meta battle continues

The first thing I enjoyed about this episode was the new menu screen, it looked more official and appropriate to the episode. I enjoyed the continuing episode effect where it continues with the story line from the last one, seeing the Metapod being kicked was as joyful as last time. The animation worked flawlessly what with not sticking and flowing perfectly as it displayed a good pokemon battle commencing effect and it was a pleasure to see Magikarp be tossed back into battle, only to unless a Hyper beam, only to have to absorb it's powerful move and take down the Meta with a weaker attack, tackle. I most enjoyed it when the stubbled trainer uses his own larger Magi into battle, only to have the original Magi evolve into an eye-patch wearing shiny Garydos with a splash attack that comes more across as an earthquake. I enjoyed seeing the shiny Kakuna arrive in battle, what with sporting a snazzy pair of shades, although it was a bit side that a simple horn drive to the missing eye defeated the might Gary, but it was still a good episode, although I did feel that the hat wearing trainer using a Metapod let the episode down a bit, bit I did enjoy the dialogue, it carried the episode brilliantly. The animation for the evenly matched Take down was especially adequate. All in all I enjoyed it quite well, it wasn't a let down, well watchable and something I'd watch again, also the trainers looked a lot better, what with a more refined look.

Thanks for such a lengthy review, I actually didn't think about the part where Kakuna used Horn Drill on Gyarados' missing eye, but that's good point and made me laugh so I'll say "Sure, that was intended." I'm glad you enjoyed the animation.

Sam vs Bobby-Puff meets Chu

Once again the first thing I enjoyed about this episode was the new menu screen. The animation worked flawlessly once again and had a vibrant amount of colour that worked well. The pokemon battle effect was better then before and it was a pleasure seeing newer Pokes be brought to the battle, as well as having names to go with the trainers. The music was the best of all three and I loved the stylish look of both the Pikachu & Jigglypuff, the little Pika looked very rock n' roll. As for the battle itself, the animation on the attacks were the best I've seen so far, Pikachu's electric attacks were most effective and I loved how sing sent it to sleep so quickly, only to then be beaten awake by Bobby. Psyhically abusing a Pikachu is something I think most people have wanted to do at some point, but the best bit was when Pikachu turned against his owner and gave him the "Team Rocket" exit, before getting uber angry or "super saiyaning" up to the occasion only to still be beaten by the Jiggly. Once again I enjoyed it quite well, well watchable and something I'd definitely watch again.

I figured people would enjoy Pokemon abuse as bad as that sounds. I am glad you continue to enjoy this odd Pokemon parody. Thanks for taking the time to write this review.

The Magi-Meta battle begins

First and foremost, nice use of the pokeball preloader before then delving straight into the opening credits of the episode and diving right into the action. I loved how the trainers go with Magikarp & Metapod, two of the worst pokemon in some people's opinions, and then the fact that you make them use the classically useless harden & splash, but it was nice to see the solarbeam attack in motion, I never thought I'd see a water type Pokemon using such a move, or see a level 99 Metapod use a super effective ground type dig against a water Pokemon but it was a decently carried episode, which was pulled off with a great evolution halt and Metapod kick. The animation and colours were great, and it was worth watching, a great way to spend a few minutes.

PostTimeskipSam responds:

Much thanks and yes, my intention was to throw people off making them think it was just a stupid splash attack and harden fight then turn it on it's head and do some crazy stuff.

Liked it, but it needed some more work.

Best thing in the entire episode was when Link sees Malon and it's doing all the lovey-dovey stuff and when they kiss she soon turns into the creatures that I like to call "The Midnight Rapists!" But yeah, the ending made the episode for me, and the animation was as its top standard as usual.

PostTimeskipSam responds:

Samson:
I love kissy lovey stuff it makes my heart drop :D

Robert:
Too bad the other ending got cut.

Bout time, I've waited a year for this!

Watched it without the 3D glasses, and the flash was still good, the animating seemed to have imrpoved since your last one, but then again you've had a year to get better so of course you would. Great series as always, I hope the next episode is much longer though.

PostTimeskipSam responds:

Samson:
A lot of depth will be lost if you don't watch it in 3D.

Robert:
We animated on this one?

Even more "Fricking A Epic!"

This was really great, nice choice of music, I love the fugly effect of the Pokemon, just brilliant, and the animation with the dance off, super great. . The music works well and the voice acting was good. Loved it all. Love to see a sequel. Loved the retareded Pokemon and the trainers, butch Snorlax was awesome.

vlaktemaat responds:

Thanks a lot! :)

The best animated episode yet.

Hey Peltos, I loved the finish to the episode, I really loved the bit with Ruby where he runs through the castle grounds and kills the two guards with the spin attack, that was great animating, maybe we should do that for a little flash, the conversation outside the castle and then Ruby running in to kill the guards and saying the hurdle line and that the guards are pussies. But great animating bro, the episodes are getting better and better, I can't wait for the season finale.

peltos responds:

thx and maybe im gonna do that if i have time :P
i have left the last part out (that they all say that Onyx is a jerk) because they have to stand a little bit further from onyx to say it without onyx hearing it. but if i did that than they wouldnt fall into the holl

Well the day was boring, but not the flash!

Although it was incredibly short, i liked the aniamtion in it a lot, it was seriously awesome. The shading, the colouring, the movements, you could do some serious epic work with all that. You have a true gift, the story was decent but everything else was better. If you made more flash like this that would be great. With you skill you should make a serious about something, comedy or serious, i just wish it was longer so there was more to it, but great job.

ScottFalco responds:

Well this was mostly practice,
you see, currently I am trying to start up my own original series,
and so while I have been casting and writing for the series,
ive been doing short animation practices like this,
so when i animate the series it looks amazing

Best one in the series

Okay as the writer of this series i just feel that fater reading your comments, that i should say this. This episode sure the pot thing may have been overdone, but orginally this started out as a comic, this episode was the first one to be animated, but this was never done as a rip off off the four swords adventures, i was writing this series before i joined NG as for this episode, this episode is a three part story which carries in on the next two chapters, which are the last episodes in this series, but i can say there is a second series after this, which is very connected because theres a serial killer mini series in it and a major climaxing finish which is connected to this three episode mini series at the end. As for the Dark Link turnming good, this was done because no one would expect besides you´re all forgetting, it is dark link, he will have an ulterior motive, and if you keep watching it´ll all kick off. This series, the final episodes sets the mark for the second series which goes extremely epic, this was fone to be differnt to everythign that people would expect in a Zelda series but trust my the final episode wil be worth watching as will the second series. All the episodes are much longer and have a dynamic overall story. Now as regards to Peltos, i loved the way you´ve changed the comic to an episode, i liked it a lot, i can´t wait to see the second episode in this series or the third. I know they´l be worth it, good work man, sure there were spelling errors but they weren´t too bad.

peltos responds:

thx man. i already have some new ideas for the next one to put some more emotions in it en maybe more violent :P

Hi I'm a diver that enjoys playing video games when I'm not writing about marine life, diving or maritime history, but if I'm not doing that I'm out with my mates. How about you?
